Basically Unaka sucks as bad as Hurley and i think for the most part the RB for Hurley will lead them to this win.

Honaker will give Lebanon a tough game but i think Lebanon will win this one by having more talent than Honaker at the skill positions.

TV i think will be much improved this year with the reduced schedule and Bland is on about the same level as Unaka i would think. THey have had a down year ever since i can remeber.

TO go out and say that teams like TV and Bland are below average is kind a shot at those schools because what would you call St. Paul and Castlewood? Or even Evinton? I do not see anyone in the BDD as being a powerhouse this season and is possibly the weakest district in the area right behind the Cumberland which is pushing hard for first in that catagory.

The Cumberland is the weakest district year in year out hands down. The BDD is a smaller district with only 4 teams but Honaker and Haysi are ranked 6th and 10th respectively in the SWVA football poll. While they may not be powerhouses this year both would probably finish in the top half of the LPD easily...I see this as being a weak year all the way around for the region D with no REAL powerhouses in any district. Twin Valley and Hurley are at the very minimum on par with the likes of Castlewood, St. Pie, Ervinton, and Tommy Walker so i still see a pretty wide gap between the Cumberland and the Black Diamond because Rye Cove won that district last year but were destroyed by both Honaker and Haysi.

I would also rank the Black Diamond ahead of the AA Highlands District with Abingdon, Lee, Marion, and Va High...no way Haysi or Honaker would finish worse than 2nd in that district and both would have a good shot at winning it. I also think Twin Valley would have a good shot at beating Lee or Marion.

Well the BDD teams except for Haysi kick off their regular seaons this friday along with the rest of SWVA. Lets here some predictions on how the teams will do!!!

Honaker vs Lebanon - Honaker should be able to handle the young Pioneer squad, but with this rivalry anything is possible! Honaker will be cocky and expecting a blowout, Lebanon will be well coached with Adams back at the helm and eager for a win at home! Honaker's experience/size prevails in this game!

Hurley vs Unaka - Hurley didn't sound real impressive against Appy and I hear they have some pretty badly injured players, not good when you barely have 20 players. Don't really know much about Unaka excpet they will probably be deeper than Hurley.

Easy now there Dundin, of what team on the schedule this season will make TV realize they suck so fast? THe Christian school? St. Pill? The Mighty Blue Devils? Hey Honaker and Haysi might hand them there ass but i feel they will beat most of the rest of those guys but i may be wrong. As far as the BDD in the past yeah i feel that they were defintely more powerful than the Cumberland and the Highlands in the past, but Marion had some teams back a few years ago that could have played with some of the BDD's good teams. I was talking about this year and this year only and i feel it is very down, plus the Paper I.E. The Bristol Herald Courier is about the most ignorant group of people i have ever read a article from. If and i say this by my own opinion only, but if Haysi and Honaker is ranked 6th and 10th in the area then this is a weak friging year for football. Hey and i am a fan of Haysi but not of Honaker unless they play someone outside the district. But as for this season the BDD is weak and watered down toliet paper. Now i do hope i am wrong and Haysi look better than the reviews of the Scrimmiage and i hope HOnaker is strong too, and i wish TV luck in their divison, but i am not holding my breath on it.

Yes Air Ran as I posted in a different thread I think this is just a really weak year for the entire area in foozball...need to get bobby bouche in here to hit some people.

Looks like it will be very weak, i know that the G-Men looked very good the other day when i saw them scrimage and so did GC, both matched up well but i thought that the G-Men looked more overpowering. I think that they will come out winner in their district and i think Honaker will win the BDD, although that is as far as they go and i think that GC will edge out PV in the LPD. As for the rest who cares? Burton will probably win theirs with Miles back and Twin Springs looks to be the favorite in the Cumberland. Which might be now that i look at it the weakest in the land but the BDD is soft this season as opposed to seasons ago when Haysi and Honaker could have given alot of people a run for there money. The Highlands is weak and i think that to have Abingdon ranked 16th just shows the weakness area wide. I will change one thing though i think Honaker will beat Lebanon and they should have been switched in my post earlier for the remarks i made for Lebanon with all the starters coming back for Honaker i just cant see Lebanon pulling it off, but it is a rivialry and who know what will happen. All in all as far as schedules goes no one in the BDD plays that tough of a Schedule, i mean heck over the years Haysi toughest opponent outside of Honaker was Clintwood and Honakers outside of Haysi was who Lebanon? Heck you cant say that John Battle was.........lol, what a joke there, kinda like Abingdon they have all those kids and cant field a competative football team? SOmething needs to be done at those schools.

Hear is the way I would rank the districts in southwest va strength wise this upcoming season:

1. Southwest...loaded from top to bottom, any of the 5 teams are capable of winning it but my bet is on Richlands.

2. LPD...Gate City and PV are perennial powerhouses but I don't see PV being all that strong this year...the rest of the district is OK.

3. Hogoheegee...I know George Wythe and Rural Retreat should be pretty good this year but there are some major light weights in that district too, especially John Battle and Holston.

4. BDD...Back in the days when Garden and Hurley fielded tough teams to go along with Haysi the BDD could rival the LPD alot of years...Honaker is better than they used to be in those days though and TV, Hurley both have alot back from last year I'm hearing.

5. Highlands...If Abingdon is their 2nd best team then they are in bad shape in that AA district. 16th ranking was turned the Bristol Herald into a laughing stock.

6. Cumberland...Teams in this district usually just get steamrolled anytime they play out of district opponents...I see it being no different this year but probably won't be as bad since Twin Springs, Castlewood, and Ervinton all look to be somewhat improved over last year.
